Site Under Development

This is a new Web site and it is still under development. We hope you won’t have any problems using it, but if you do we’d be most grateful if you would let us know.

The basic parts of the site are up and running, but it does not yet have its own shopping basket and checkout. Details of how to buy are given below.

We have provided answers to the most common questions below, but if you need any more help or have any other kinds of query or comments, please contact us. There is a Contact link at the top of every page. We welcome enquiries and will normally get back to you very quickly.

How to Buy

At present this site is still under development and we have not yet implemented its own shopping basket. For the time being, therefore, you can buy in one of the the two following ways:

1. Buy direct by simply using the contact form on the top menu to get in touch or place your order.

2. Some items may be on auction at eBay. These are marked on the item’s detail page, and you can click on the button on that page to go direct to the relevant list at eBay. There may also be a “Buy it Now” option at eBay.

If a picture is on auction at eBay, it can only be bought via that auction, until the auction closes. If the auction closes without a bidder then that item will be made available for purchase from this site in the normal way again, and can be bought by using the contact form.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused while the site does not have its own checkout. We hope to implement the shopping basket and checkout by winter 2008-09.

How to Pay

If you are in the UK: you may pay by cheque, postal order, or by either credit card or debit card at PayPal – you do not need a PayPal account – or by using your PayPal account if you have one. If you would like to pay using credit card, debit card or your PayPal account we will send you details when you place an order.

If you are paying from outside the UK: we can only accept payment for international orders through PayPal, who allow you to make the payment in your own currency. We will send you details of how to pay at PayPal when you place an order.

If you use a credit or debit card at PayPal we never see any of the details of your card.

Special Orders and Commissions

If you are interested in placing a special order or commission, please get in touch to discuss your requirements. Please look at the sorts of art work and miniatures available on the site first, to see what kinds of work we are able to produce.

Special orders and commissions will be no more expensive than similar items offered for sale on the site. There is no fee charged and absolutely no obligation to purchase the finished work if you do not like it once it is completed. Photographs will be supplied upon completion, but of course the item will not be despatched until payment is received. Everything we sell is covered by our “no quibble” returns policy however (see below), so there is no risk attached for the customer.

Delivery

We aim to despatch all orders within two working days of receiving cleared payment and always send by 1st class post in the UK or by airmail overseas.

If your order is urgent (for a gift, for example) we can send by Special Delivery or an expedited air service for an extra cost, but this can work out quite expensive.

UK customers please be aware that cheques can be quite slow to clear, although for customers already known to us we do not wait for clearance before despatch.

International Orders

We welcome customers from anywhere in Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. If you wish to order from another region, please contact us first to ensure that we can ship to you.

We can only accept payment for international orders through PayPal, who allow you to make the payment in your own currency.

Postage and Packing

If you are buying through eBay, the shipping costs will be shown on the detailed listing page for the item.

If you are buying direct, we will of course let you know the postage and packing cost before you pay, but as a general guide the cost for one miniature picture – or two despatched together – is usually £1.50 for 1st class delivery in the UK, £1.60 for airmail to Europe, and £2.00 for airmail to the rest of the world.

All our miniatures are packed with the greatest care, using special boxes and padding.

Returns Policy

We want all our customers to be entirely happy with their transactions, and so we operate a “no quibble” returns and refunds policy.

If you find that you are unhappy in any way – for any reason whatever – with either the transaction or the item, please contact us as soon as possible. We will always try to resolve any problem quickly and courteously. If you want to return the item you purchased we will provide a full refund of the price paid, including the original postage cost, for any item sent back to us in its original condition within seven days of receipt.

If you are returning an item, please make sure you obtain proof of posting as we cannot issue a refund until we have actually received the returned item.

We regret that we cannot refund the cost of your return postage unless the item you receive is damaged or we sent the wrong item to you.
