April Showers, Ben Hiant
Giclée print on archival matte paper (192 gsm); in a frame with real miniature glass.
Width: 85 mm (3 3/8 in), height: 60 mm (2 3/8 in), depth: 4 mm (3/16 in).
Suitable for 1/12th scale dolls' houses.
This is an artist’s miniature giclée print, offered in a limited edition of 180 made from an original watercolour painting by Jenny Chapman (which is now in a private collection in the UK).
This watery view of Ben Hiant at the western end of the Ardnamurchan peninsula was observed during some spectacular April showers, when waves of rain swept in from the sea interspersed with intervals of bright sunshine. A closer and more detailed view of the same scene is also available as a miniature print in a limited edition of 180, under the title “Ben Hiant Rainbow”.
The print is presented in a hand-made wooden frame with real miniature glass and is ready to hang, complete with a gold-plated or silver-plated chain.
Each print is numbered and signed both on the back of the print (not visible when framed) and on the archival quality backing board, which is sealed to the frame in the traditional way with miniature paper tape. Each framed print is a unique object and has a unique code number marked on the back. A signed certificate of authenticity is also supplied.
This print is part of my Ardnamurchan series, and is a collectors’ item intended for collectors of miniatures and for dolls house enthusiasts. It is not a toy and is not intended for children.
