About the Prints

At present we offer a small range of artist’s limited edition miniature giclée (digital) prints, each one made from an original painting by Jenny Chapman. These prints are produced by the artist herself using the best materials available for digital printing: archival quality heavyweight matte paper and high-quality pigment based inks in an 8-colour system. The resulting prints have excellent colours and clarity, and should last without fading for at least a hundred years.

However, these prints are still digital reproductions of paintings, which we do not consider to be genuine print-making. In keeping with our philosophy of producing real miniature art for the miniature world, we are working on developing a range of unique artist’s prints made using traditional print-making techniques like linocut, wood engraving and perhaps even miniature etchings – all created in miniature.

Genuine miniature prints are rare. These will be made in strictly limited editions ranging from around 6 to 12 prints of each image, each printed by hand onto high quality paper. More information about how these unique prints are made will be available in due course.

Each print is numbered and signed both on the back of the print itself and on the backing board used when framing. Additionally each framed print has a unique code number (marked on the back. A certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist, is supplied with each print.

The frames are hand-made by the artist and glazed with real glass with good optical qualities. The framed prints are supplied with a gold-plated or silver-plated hanging chain, but can also be displayed on a miniature display easel or in a special display environment.
